After completing an undergraduate degree at University College London, Sally undertook a PGCE at the University of Southampton.

She has taught at a Special School for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in North Hampshire, working with children aged 4-19, and then worked as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator in a mainstream primary school in Hampshire.

Sally currently works as a Behaviour Specialist Teacher in the Specialist Teaching Team for South West Surrey. The team work alongside schools and families to support vulnerable children and help them achieve in school. Sally’s special area of interest is Autism Spectrum Disorders and associated social communication difficulties.

As part of her current role, Sally was trained in Therapeutic Storywriting by Dr Trisha Waters and delivered groups in various schools. Following the positive impact of the groups and a growing demand from schools, she commenced further training with Dr Waters to become an accredited Therapeutic Storywriting trainer.
